The idea organizing the UMP autoshow was brought up by SOCIETY OF AUTOMOTIVE ENGINEERS UMP-CHAPTER (UMP COLLEGIATE CHAPTER OF SAE INTERNATIONAL) for the first since it was established in late of 2008. Besides SAE UMP-CHAPTER,this event is a collaboration of Rakan Muda (SRM), Majlis Perwakilan Pelajar (MPP) and Mechanical Engineering Professional Student Club(Mechapro) in conjunction of promoting Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) to the Malaysian citizens. There will be a few registered car clubs and automotive based company invited to organized exhibition and demostration on that day. SAE UMP-CHAPTER is proposing the event as an annual event for the university


The Objective of this event are :

1. Proposing the autoshow event as annual event for the university.
2. to promote the university and the collaboration clubs toward Malaysian citizens.
3. To introduce student and youths toward positive path of monitoring world.
4. SAE UMP-CHAPTER as the pioneer in producing Formula SAE Car which will be one of UMP's product.
5. To generate interpersonal skill(soft skill among the youths by using the autoshow as the medium.
6. To promote tourism around Pahang to all participant from all over Malaysia, in supporting the local goverment effort to promote 'Cuti-cuti Malaysia'
